Vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers from Trinidad and Tobago will still be subject to the Covid-19 entry protocols in Barbados once its proposed travel bubble with other countries in the Caribbean takes effect on June 30th.

It is going to cost Caribbean Airlines over one hundred million dollars to retrench some 450 of its workers set to be separated from the State-owned carrier as part of the restructuring of its operations.

The Health Minister says active talks involving different arms of the Government, the White House and international health organisations are underway regarding whether Trinidad and Tobago will benefit from 500 million Pfizer vaccines being donated by the United States to low- and lower middle-income countries around the world.

The Foreign and Caricom Affairs Ministry says at no time has Prime Minister Dr. Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley "ever disparaged the vaccine programme in Guyana nor has he ever implied that the vaccines in use in Guyana are defective or unsafe."

Unipet - a privately owned fuel retailer - says it does not want to be left out whenever gas stations owned by State-owned NP are put up for sale as part of the Government's plan to liberalise the fuel retail sector.
