Belmont Shooting

Three people have been injured in a Belmont shooting.

It is also believed that an 6 year old boy is among the injured.

Initial information coming to points to the shooting occurring near the Providence Girls' Catholic School just before 3pm.

According to reports, a white Toyota Hilux was driving on Belmont Circular Road when a white Hyundai SUV pulled alongside. The occupants then opened fire on the Hilux.

Witnesses say the Hilux's driver ran out of the vehicle and escaped.

Police have cordoned off a section of Belmont Circular Road as they continue investigations.

School had just ended for the day and students witnessed the incident.
