Sean Sobers

Attorney at Law, Sean Sobers will replace Ashvani Mahabir as an opposition senator.

The United National Congress announced the pending appointment via a media release.

According to the party, Sobers has contributed to numerous bills in the past and has served as a temporary senator before.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London and a Legal Practicing Certificate from the University of Staffordshire and was called to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago in April 2013.  He has served as legal counsel for a number of companies in Trinidad and Tobago and New York.

He is a member of The Legal Aid Authority of Trinidad and Tobago and The Trinidad and Tobago Duty Counsel Panel. Mr Sobers has been active in the United National Congress and provided legal advice and counsel at free legal clinics the party held in Siparia, Belmont, San Juan and Tunapuna.

An alumnus of Presentation College, San Fernando, Mr Sobers continues to contribute to the institution as a member of the Presentation College San Fernando Past Students Association Executive.
