Cellphones, WIFI hotspot devices, razor blades and a quantity of a plant-like substance, are among the items seized in a massive haul by prisons officers today.

According to a release from the T&T Prison Service, officers of combines units of the Prison Service carried out a search in the Top Security area at the Remand Facility.

There, they found over 350 loose cigarettes, 20 cigarette lighters, 35 cell phones, 40 Sim Cards, five cell phone batteries, 39 head sets, 400 loose wrapping paper, four Hotspot devices, razor blades, scales, improvised weapons and over 2 pounds of a plant-like substance.

The Prison Service is calling it the largest find of this year, so far.

Officials say there were no officers or inmates were injured in the search.
