Child Shot Accidentally

A ten-year-old girl has been hospitalized in stable condition after she was shot while sitting in a car in Port of Spain. It happened Monday afternoon, near the corner of Duncan Street and Independence Square. Police say, the child was in a parked car, when a gunman fired eight shots at the car. The driver then sped off and took the girl to the Port of Spain General Hospital. The driver then abandoned the child at the hospital. Police are searching for the driver to give them a statement. They say he's well known to them.

Man Charged With Beetham Cyclists Deaths

Seven months after a car ploughed into a group of cyclists on the Beetham Highway, killing two of them, the driver of the car has been charged in connection with the incident. Junior McIntyre is charged with causing the deaths of chef Joe Brown and British citizen Joanna Banks, by way of dangerous driving. He's also charged with driving dangerously. McIntyre has pleaded not guilty. Incident took place on November 10th last year.
