It's now up to the President whether or not he would heed to the Opposition's request to make the Prime Minister provide a written explanation about her government's haste to select Section 34 for premature proclamation.

The PNM's demand is part of its petition to President's House this afternoon also seeking the Justice Minister's and the Attorney General's head.

It was delivered at the end of a march through Port-of-Spain that the PNM said attracted a larger crowd than even the party expected.
