The Leader of the Opposition has written to the President requesting that he revoke the appointment of an Equal Opportunity Commissioner.

The reason? Comments attributed to the commissioner in a newspaper report which the Opposition Leader says is inappropriate given a complaint before the Commission about a perceived racist statement made by a member of the PNM.

The issue of race relations was one TV6 News examined on election day.
