Senior Multimedia Journalist Juhel Browne

Juhel Browne is our Senior Multimedia Journalist who covers the political beat as well as issues regarding energy and the economy.

He has provided exclusive stories based on interviews he has conducted over his career.

Mr Browne was one of only two local journalists allowed to cover the press conference held on February, 19th 2009 by then US President Barack Obama at the Hilton Trinidad hotel.

Mr Browne was selected to participate in a programme for foreign journalists hosted by the US Foreign Press Office and the International Centre for Journalists to cover the last two weeks of the 2012 US President election campaign and provided coverage from the election battleground state of Cleveland, Ohio.

During his career Mr Browne has covered several CARICOM meetings in and outside of Trinidad and Tobago.

He has also provided coverage for TV6 News and the Express newspaper of official trips made to Suriname, South Africa, China, New York and Barbados made by the then Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar as well as the official trip to Venezuela made by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.

Mr Browne has also anchored the TV6 News live broadcasts of the Law Term Opening as well as the station's pre-Budget and post-Budget broadcasts.

Mr Browne also served as a panelist providing analysis from a journalist's perspective during the TV6 News live broadcast of the 2015 General Elections and the 2016 Local Government Elections.
