SUPPORT WITH CONCERNSThe Congress of the People is tonight saying it will support the defence amendment bill which is currently before the parliament... But the COP leader says his party still has some concerns with the decision to give soldiers powers of arrest. The group also has concerns with other proposed pieces of legislation aimed at dealing with crime. The party is also calling upon for a public apology from the National Security Minister Jack Warner for comments he made during the debate about a member of the COP. |
