Hunger striker Dr Wayne Kublalsingh is vowing to continue tomorrow...on a seventh day of protest.

And, despite his apparent fading health, government is not budging to his demand that a dispute section of the Point Fortin highway project be halted pending a technical review.

The Works Minister maintains that Kublalsingh is lying...and that Government met the Highway Re-Route Movement at least three times, and did a technical review and assessment before proceeding with the project.

But the prime minister today tried to show some compassion, by writing to the environmental activist's mother, that six-day hunger strike is not wise for his health.
