Minister of Arts and Multiculturalism, Dr Lincoln Douglas, revealed today that, having approached the cabinet for additional money, Carnival's artists can expect an increase in prize money.

 

Among the increaes is the reinstating of the pan man's stipend to $1000 and an injection of $2.7 million to support the country's 161 steel bands

 

Dr Douglas was speaking at this afternoon's Post Cabinet Media Briefing.
