Help For Caribbean Neighbours
Food and emergency supplies will expected to be sent to St. Lucia within the next 24 hours. This comes following the Christmas eve disaster which left eight people dead, and five others missing.
Initially, the supplies were to be taken by ferry this afternoon, but a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister this afternoon said the vessel to take supplies may not leave until midnight.
Earlier today, officials from the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management and the Ministry of National Security were busy packing the much needed goods for our Caribbean neighbours.
