TCL AND OWTU CLAIM VICTORY
On the 27th of February last year, six-hundred Trinidad Cement Limited workers walked off the job to embark on a 90-day strike, after negotiations for a salary increase bore no fruit.
However, upon the end of their strike, instead of those workers being able to resume work, they were barred from doing so by armed police and the management of TCL.
Yesterday, a 19-month long dispute that went all the way to the industrial court, came to a conclusion.
