Trinidad and Tobago missed out on a medal in the women's 4 x 100 metres relay final when they failed to complete the first exchange at the Olympic Stadium on Friday (August 10).
Lead off runner Michelle-Lee Ahye could not hand over to Kelly-Ann Baptiste, who mistimed her run and was out of the passing zone before her teammate got to her.
The United States won in a new world record time of 40.82 seconds, with Jamaica (41.41) and the Ukraine (42.04) taking silver and bronze, respectively.
