The latest nine-percent cement hike is a bit hard to take for members of the Trinidad and Tobago Hardware Dealers' Association.


Cement has moved from 52-dollars to 57-dollars per bag and the Association's President Joseph Callendar says he can't even explain why to his membership.

He says with the present economic conditions, the drastic increase is outrageous and can have ripple effects in the local construction industry.
