COX EXCAVATOR
The Attorney General is alleging prisoners landscaped the lawn of Opposition MP Donna Cox's home when she served as a Minister in the Ministry of National Security.
The AG made the claim in the Senate today as he responded to Ms Cox's revelation last week of a $900,000 contract for a light aircraft being acquired by the Police Commissioner for the Police Service.

EWATSKI ON AIRCRAFT
Acting Commissioner of Police Jack Ewatski has broken his silence on what now appears to be the controversial decision by the police service to enter into a lease agreement with a local company for a light sport aircraft for a 12 week trial period.
According to Mr. Ewatski during this time, the police service will determine whether it is economically feasible to acquire such aircraft for it Air Support UNit which to be established soon.
The acting Commissioner is however denying that his relations with Dan Condon has anything to with the award of this contract

Petro Jazz put in a good showing last evening at the Jean Pierre Sports Complex last evening to become the first south-based team to win league honours when they defeated the defending champions Detour Shak Attack 100 to 76 as the MACKESON Super 10 Basketball League came to exciting finale....
Both teams had 17 points heading into the final preliminary round game in the league.
The game showed up Shak Attack's weaknesses in defence in particular transition defence which became the story of the night with national centre Wilfred Benjamin exploiting the situation on his way to 25 points and 15 rebounds

The Joint Select Committee of Parliament on Procurement Practices will be three members less.. as Dr. Keith Rowley, Diego Martin North East MP, Colm Imbert and Senator Faris Al Rawi plan to leave the Committee.

Although the recovery(ri-KUHV-uh-ree) is slow...family members and health-care officials are confident Mr. Manning, who suffered from a brain EMbolism(EM-buh) which caused the miLD stroke, will soon walk-out of San Fernando General Hospital.

Slavery is what former Attorney General, Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj, is calling government action that will force Clico EFPA policy holders to accept a payout plan that will see them receive 42 cents on the dollar.

Dinanath Ramnarine revealed today that WIPA were successful with another arbitration battle over the WICB.
Ramnarine emphasising this is the 10th matter going arbitration that WIPA HAS reigned supreme.
As a result, the WICB has to pay between 1.5 million to two million US dollars to WIPA for breach of the MOU and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
This was disclosed at another WIPA press conference held at their offices today on Edward Street.

BUNKER FOLLOW UP
Customs and Excise officers say they smashed a multi-million dollar
operation after raiding a diesel yard at Concession Drive in Sea Lots
almost two weeks ago. Officers say there are several major players
involved in this scheme which they have only just begun to investigate.
Prime Minister Kamla-Persad Bissessar said yesterday police found the
diesel in an underground bunker. The find, Customs officials told TV 6
news however... was made on the BEACHFRONT in Sea Lots and in an
abandoned ship just 50 feet from the shoreline.

Health care gone horribly wrong at the Brian Lara cancer treatment centre. Over 200 patients were exposed to excessive radiation over a 12-month period.
